RESIDENTIAL . CALM CONTEMPORARY

Arborveil House

The Design Philosophy

This home understands the quiet power of texture and tradition. Rooted in mid-century modern sensibility with subtle Indian craft influences, the design weaves together pattern, warmth, and restraint. Navy and terracotta block-printed textiles anchor the bedroom—a nod to heritage without nostalgia. The custom arched headboard wall, delicately patterned with floral motifs, becomes an alcove of intimacy. Brass pendant lights descend like gentle moons.

The living room embraces depth: navy velvet sofa, olive green lounge chair, vertical fluted paneling that adds rhythm without distraction. Cove lighting frames the ceiling, creating dimension. The kitchen steps into darker territory with charcoal cabinetry and open shelving, displaying daily rituals as honest beauty. Walnut furniture throughout—warm, substantial, grounding. Each space honors craftsmanship: hand-blocked fabrics, turned wood legs, abstract earth-toned art. This design doesn't shout its influences; it lives them

The Comfort & Functionality

Walnut dining table extends for gatherings; olive upholstered chairs soften long conversations. The kitchen's U-shape maximizes workflow while open shelves keep essentials visible and loved. Fluted paneling adds acoustic softness to living spaces. Block-printed textiles are layered—duvet, pillows, throws—inviting touch. Brass fixtures age beautifully, becoming more personal over time. Every choice serves comfort that deepens with use.

The Healing Element

Navy calms, terracotta warms. The arched headboard wall cradles sleep. Layers of pattern and texture create visual richness that doesn't overwhelm—it holds you. This home heals by honoring slowness, craft, and the stories objects carry.
